Jason Rule arrived at my house sometime after 9 pm on friday night. We loaded my stuff into his car, forgot important things, and powerade in hand, we hit the road. We shouted loudly about tour, talked about music, musicians, the music scene, and women. We arrived in Danbury at Western Connecticut State University, and caught up with Lucas. We unloaded all of our shit, carried all of our gear up three flights of stairs, got to the top, noticed there happened to be a fucking elevator. We entered a practice cell, pulled some real McGiver shit with some belts, strings, and a sleeping bag. We jammed for hours, just playing all kinds of tunes. At one point we happened to get barricaded in to said practice space by some jazz cats with a piano. We busted free, Jason tried to get in a fist fight, it was avoided when we all became friends. We heard word of bugs, and creepy noises in practice rooms, we took no notice. We went for a joy ride of sorts, came back, played our hearts out until 3 AM, when we finally decided life was too much for us. We loaded our gear back into the car, got some free sodas, spread out our hobbit inspired bed rolls, and crashed in our super warm, super cozy practice room. Woke up, peed in a water bottle, rendezvoused with Alex, headed back north. We hung out all morning, made some CD’s, then headed up to Kevin’s. I played a ton of bop it while Lucas serenaded us with classical guitar, and Jason watched Dan Deacon videos. Shot up to Babetown, loaded in, chilled with some dudes, Tetonka Alex got arrested, cops showed up, show still went on. Played a super short set, danced our asses off. Made some on the spot plans to go sleep at some other house in Amherst. Went there, hung out, ate beans and rice, mad managers specials. Passed out at 4 AM, woke up shortly after, and cruised on home. What a pre-tour weekend it has been.

I’ve had a really cool past few days.
